U-Haul
We were raised with promises. "Do the right things, and you'll have the same opportunity the previous generations did." It wasn't true, and now I watch so many in my generation deal with crippling problems for which there's no road map. But there's strength in breaking from tradition. There's power in setting your own path. This song isn't advice. It's not a solution or a reason or a creed or a command. It's just a place to let the breath out. To relax your shoulders and unclench your jaw. Hopefully, to feel seen for 3 minutes of folk music and laugh at the absurdity of it all before picking up your head and saying, "ok, what's next."

- I can just feel the existential dread coming out of this song... Musically, it’s a folk fever dream of pristine fingerpicking and vocals so smooth they could sell me a used car with a dead fish inside it... a ballad for the chronically restless—the kind of people who daydream about burning their IKEA furniture mid-assembly.
